CO2 in the atmosphere

The first self-evident truth

All plant life is carbon based:

The second self-evident truth

There is a widespread view that we should not burn coal since it releases CO2 into the atmosphere. But coal was created from the compression of fossilised vegetable matter, which was obviously carbon-based. This carbon can only have been extracted from the atmosphere in the first place, so the act of burning coal is merely returning CO2 to where it came from. Hm!

My Defence

Please avoid any attempt to untruthfully condemn me for advocating the combustion of coal, since I am not, I am merely drawing your attention to unarguable facts.
