An exceedingly deep and wide hole was needed for the first thing to be planted in our vegetable garden, which was a septic tank.
With a little mechanical assistance, the septic tank was soon buried and connected up.
Eventually, the drains were connected and tested for leaks. Fortunately there were none.
The electricity cables occupied the same trench.
We managed all of this ourselves.
Meanwhile, the drainpipes from the roof guttering needed separate treatment
with their own soakaways.
