Mary wrote: We awoke to rough seas this morning, but I made it to breakfast and just had a hard-boiled egg and one slice of toast. I went to the Craft Class and finished off my bracelet. Jacqui did the glueing of the clasp which is not to my standard. Hopefully I can get it apart when I get home again. The fitting itself is magnetic and is very good. I left the class before the end and went to Derek Thomas’s talk “Olympic torches on Opening Ceremonies of 2012 Olympics”. He even had a torch and a dress he had worn are the opening ceremony. He had come from British Guiana (part of the Windrush generation). He has done very well with his career has achieved a lot during his life. Mel had met up with Captain Sharman, a retired 747 captain, and went to “The Tale of Two Captains” where he and the ship's captain Val were answering questions. Men also got introduced to the Captain and has an invitation to visit the engine room on Sunday.
