I managed to get my pattern yarn and needles ready to make. I managed about 3 rows before dashing off to the drama workshop. I met Mel for lunch and then he went to the talk ‘Beyond Oppenheimer’ and I went up to the Observatory where ‘Singing for Fun’ was taking place.
I kept trying to knit my shawl but if the stitches slip off the needle it means starting again. I must have restarted it about fifteen times. In the afternoon I conquered my knitting. I joined Mel at 1500 for ‘The Magic of Migration’ by Emma Neave West who was excellent again. After dinner Tony chatted up the Somalia and we all got given some expensive port with our deserts. We then saw flautist Sophia Costello in the Neptune lounge.
