Islam has two problems:
Firstly, never in the history of Islam has any Muslim state been governed democratically, with their leaders being elected by the population. In all cases, the country’s governing body has been selected by the religion's leaders.
Secondly, never in the history of Islam has any Muslim state treated men and women equally, women always being treated as subservient to men.
You either agree with countries doing this, or you admit to being personally crtical of Islam, since there is no third option.
...and please don’t quote Turkey, which although having an almost entirely Muslim population, was founded by Mustafa Kemal Ataturk (1881-1938) as a secular state, and remans so today. (Ataturk was added to his name by his country and translates as 'The Father of Turkey')
